The Anglican-Lutheran Dialogue completed the report Common Ground - Covenanting for Mutual Recognition and Reconciliation, in November 2000.

It was launched on the 1st April 2001 at St Peter's Cathedral Adelaide.

The national Anglican-Lutheran Dialogue Group is focussed on both supplementing and building upon the significant points of agreement and mutual recognition reflected in Common Ground (2001).  The supplementary aspect concerns our respective understanding and ways of articulating ‘mission’.

It was published in book form and launched on the 1st April 2001 at St Peter's Cathedral Adelaide. The report was to be considered by the Anglican General Synod Doctrine Commission and the Lutheran Commission on Theology and Inter-Church Relations before being forwarded to both churches for approval and action.

Bishop Tim Harris is the Ecumenical Relations Commission’s representative on the Anglican-Lutheran Dialogue Group.
